Weird Point of Sale Offer: Sake & Batteries

I have to be the worlds most gullible shopper & a marketer’s dream. I’ve come home from the liquor store with all sorts of goodies, from golf balls & divot tools to corkscrews and corks. There have even been some coasters and a cigar cutter, but batteries? What was the marketing department thinking on this one? Maybe they had personal pleasure devices on the next shelf.

Giada De Laurentiis Looking FAB in South Beach
Ok, so Giada’s not in the kitchen. And there isn’t really any food action going on. And….I’m really not sure why I’m posting this except that Giada looks great in a bikini on a jetski. Enjoy this scene from the new Food TV series Giada’s Weekend Getaways.
Thanks to Men in Aprons for turning me on!
That’s just wrong.
Stuffed Chicken Breast with Roasted Red Pepper Puree
A couple of weeks ago, we were having afternoon bevvies and munchies at East Side Mario’s and a chicken main caught my eye. It was some sort of stuffed chicken breast with a red pepper sauce. Great idea.
This recipe is easy to prepare and doesn’t require much preparation. Best of all it will impress your guests. They’ll never guess it was so easy.
Ingredients
- 2 sweet red peppers
- 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
- 4-6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts. Try to pick nice fat ones as they stuff more easily.
- herbed or peppered goat cheese
- olive oil
- salt & pepper
- Montreal chicken seasoning if desired
