FAB East & West Kitchens cook up a storm

It’s not too often that the East & West FAB kitchens get to hook up these days, given the distance between us. This weekend though, the two kitchens came together.

Menu choice for Saturday night had to be special, so it was decided that the centerpiece should be a Beef Tenderloin roast done on the grill. For the sides, we turned to foodtv.ca for some inspiration. We decided to pull 3 recipes, that would all be fairly simple and the team could work on together.

President’s Choice Peaches and Cream corn was a late addition in case the kids weren’t feeling the Broccoli. The Yorkshires are a standard in our house whenever there is any type of roast. That english influence rears it’s ugly head and Sandy & Shelby whip up their magic. I’ll see if we can’t get them to release the ancient secret recipe for them.

Overall, we had an awesome evening and it was a blast to have a full team of foodies in the kitchen. As usual, the Shiraz was flowing more than freely and there were a couple of fuzzy heads this morning. Hopefully later this fall, the FAB east kitchen will head to the west and do some cookin in the mountains.
