I fully admit it: I am a point of purchase marketer’s dream. If something at the check out is unique and catches my eye, chances are I’m going to buy it if the price is right. While we were preparing for our last shindig (recipes and photos to follow) I came across these Sofiato Pillows for $1.99 and I just had to grab them.
The box says they are cream filled crepe bites. That does not begin to describe to awesomeness that resides within this wee box. Small rectangular packets of wonderfully crisp crepe are filled with a silky cream that has a mild coffee taste, just like a nice tiramisu. This was no tiny package either, as there must be 50 or 60 of these little flavor explosions.
They are marketed by a company called ASA Foods in LA. Their website is devoid of content, so the chances of me finding them ever again is slim so I’m just going to have to savor the ones I’ve got!
ed note: I followed the web address on the packaging, but the correct website is here and has lots on neat goodies. More reviews to come!
